Flow House Xscape Yorkshire Opens!

Just 18 short months since Flow House Bedford was opened, the latest Flow House in the UK was commissioned at Flow House Xscape Yorkshire in Castleford. Xscape, known for its indoor ski slope, skate park, climbing wall, laser zone, bowling and 14 screen cinema complex now also features the best  indoor surf technology in the form of two FlowRider® Doubles, as Flow House Xscape Yorkshire is surely to be another epicenter in the UK for urban surfing powered by Wave Loch LLC.

Along with the FlowRider Double’s, the latest Flow House features a full bar and food service, VIP Lounge/bar and 3000 sq ft dedicated to selling the latest in surf apparel.

The launch party saw people come from all over Yorkshire to try the waves, and even the local professional rugby team got involved and had a go! Wave demos were given by professional athletes, including  current European Champion Sam Butler, Ben Skinner ,one of the world’s best long board surfers, a number of world class pro wake boarders including members James Young and Jonti Green of the Relentless Wakeboard Team.

Opening just before Christmas 2011 was a challenge that was met head on by Flow House Xscape Yorkshire and it’s staff.  Xscape is a prime shopping and leisure destination welcoming over four million visitors each year.  With Flow House Xscape Yorkshire due to receive its very own escalator installation in February, this exciting addition to Xscape has, and will continue to be, an extremely exciting venue.
