FLOW Tour Stop #1: Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, OH

The US FLOW Tour got off to a great start with stop #1 revisiting an old friend – Kalahari Resort in Sandusky Ohio. Back on the tour after a brief respite, Kalahari is always a favorite with a fun atmosphere, great accommodations and an expansive ride surface (the largest on the Tour).

With over 50 competitors and a packed house, the competition went off like clockwork. In a hard fought Expert Men’s final, Brenden Fenske stomped out the victory over Brad Spencer, Curtis Lam, and Eric Silverman. Eric, the reigning International FLOW Champion (held October 2010 in Singapore), is trying his hand on the Tour this year while putting his high flying barrel act on hold until the International FLOW Championships qualifier this summer.

In Female Expert, Amanda McCormick picked up right where she left off, earning a tightly contested split decision over Kim Koyle. Caitlin Clifford and Jada Castrataro were 3rd and 4th respectively.

The Expert Bodyboard winner was…. Nick Nguyen. Nick continues to set the standard for his bodyboard techniques on the Flowrider ®, earning perfect scores in the final to blow away the field. Justin Montalbano, Andrew Shelton and Robert Puls rounded out the final four.
