Surf conditions were good in Baytown, Thursday, at Pirates Bay Water Park, thanks to the park’s newly up and running attraction, the FlowRider. And although the park is not scheduled to open until mid-June, lifeguards spent the last couple of days learning the ins and outs of the park’s highly anticipated addition.
The FlowRider, the park’s featured attraction, is equipped with adjustable water flow and allows people of all ages to enjoy the excitement and thrill of catching and riding a wave regardless of skill level.
There are more than 100 FlowRiders in operation around the world, with Pirates Bay being only the third in Texas and the first in this area.
