San Diego, CA- Surf House Phuket’s Grand Opening was held last January 26, 2013. Thailand is fast becoming a hub for flowboarding with this being the second venue to open in the last 6 months, the first venue being Flow House Bangkok.
Surf House Phuket is located on the west coast of Phuket and in front of beautiful Kata Beach. Phuket is increasingly becoming known as a surf destination with real surfable waves right in front of the venue, and it is one of the few locations in the world where it’s possible to surf both a real ocean wave and the FlowRider® during the surf season.
During the grand opening the Surf House was filled to capacity, hosting a crowd of stoked spectators, novice riders, and professional flowboarders as well as Polynesian Dancers. The event was an all day celebration showcasing great food from award winning Chef Mr. Thammanoon Kabsit and music by Dj House Mafia, all coming together to make it an epic party.
Adopting an ‘open’ concept where the rustic and white sandy beach blends almost seamlessly into the venue, the unique architecture is inspired by the spirit of Thai hospitality and the idyllic Californian beach lifestyle. This makes it a very attractive destination for tourists and flowboarders who would like to experience great food, cold drinks, and an amazing view of both the ocean and the FlowRider Double.

It is situated off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber, and enjoys a rich and colorful history. The island was on one of the major trading routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in foreign ship logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch and English traders. The region now derives much of its income from tourism.
