The FlowRider Opens at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Center in Victoria!

The State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT), managers of the Melbourne Sports Hub, are
proud to announce the launch of Victoria’s first ever FlowRider® Double.

Located alongside the MSAC outdoor pool, the FlowRider is a 21st century surfable wave
that brings together the sports of surfing, skateboarding, wakeboarding and
snowboarding in an exciting and fun way.

The FlowRider was officially revealed on Friday, December 16th, 2011 at a Hawaiian themed
launch event featuring Melbourne sporting stars and Flowboarding champions who
carved up the wave during the first official demonstration.

Built for all age groups and skill levels, the FlowRider is set to become a huge hit this
summer with families, school groups, teenagers, as well as serious Flowboarders, and
surfers looking to hone their skills when there is no surf.

The Melbourne Sports Hub is already one of the world’s leading multi-purpose sporting
facilities and now with the introduction of the FlowRider we can increase the suite of
sports and aquatic facilities we offer to the public.

surfing in a fun, relaxed and safe environment, and with the FlowRider people can ride
the perfect wave all day, every day,” said SSCT CEO Simon Weatherill.
