Meliá Hotels International, and their partners from the internationally recognized brand Wave House, are proud to announce the celebration of the 2012 World Flowboarding Championship – FlowBarrel® event, which is set to take place on September 7th – 9th, 2012.
In June 2012, Meliá Hotels International in Calviá (Mallorca, Spain) will be opening Sol Wave House Hotel, which will be the latest addition to the Wave House family.
Europe’s latest FlowBarrel, combined with the experience of restaurants, entertainment, and events, will be located in a spectacular beach environment in the Balearic island Mallorca, Spain. The organizers are very proud that Wave House, Mallorca, has been chosen to host the biggest FlowBarrel flowboarding event of the year.
Qualified teams of the best FlowBarrel riders in the world will travel from USA, South Africa, Chile, Singapore and United Emirates to battle on Europe’s newest FlowBarrel® 10, in different divisions and disciplines for the World Championship title, whilst the spectators can enjoy excellent food, ice cold drinks and great live music, in a Southern Californian beach lifestyle location.
Meliá Hotels International is preparing for the grand opening of Sol Wave House Hotel this June. The hotel will form part of the first phase of the new project called “Calviá Beach Resort,” which consists of different hotels and Beach Clubs of a high standard.
Wave House Mallorca is an integral part of the 4 star hotel, which has 180 suites. The entire hotel has been renovated with a minimalist design and surf inspired touches to capture the ocean spirit. Furthermore, it features a large surf shop, restaurants and a venue for over one thousand people. Daytime parties with the world’s best DJs and various sporting competitions will be hosted at the beachfront location.
