It’s only been a couple of days since first firing up the FlowRider® and FlowBarrel® at Wave House Sentosa. To get everyone counting the days until the opening we’ve got a few more tantalizing photos of the venue, which is starting to look increasingly like the artist’s rendering.
The architects have very thoughtfully built the FlowBarrel® so spectators can watch the action from a full 360°. The locations of the FlowBarrel and FlowRider throw the riding action smack in the middle of everything else, and there’s nothing better than flowboarding with some cranking beats in the background.
Wave House South Africa team rider Matt Lammers had this to say when he saw the photos: “The FlowBarrel is looking killer, the wall looks really long and steep and I think it’s gonna be awesome for big airs and tech tricks. I’ve been to Singapore for wakeboard comps before and they went crazy for that so I’m sure they are gonna love flowboarding.”
The trees, pathways and thatch huts on the water’s edge looks like the perfect venue for a mellow sun downer. The staff are already talking about 24 hour parties every weekend featuring some of the best DJs from around the world, so it’s gonna rock at night.
From the moment you approach the entrance to the first step inside, the architecture is a mix of modern lines with a laid back vibe. The So Cal lifestyle influence is clear and all that comes with it – sun, sand, good food and good times. With a rocking soundtrack too!
One of the coolest features has got to be the Lava Bar, a rooftop party lounge with the most amazing views and a special twist: molten red lights that flow out across the floor from a volcano shaped bar in the center of the roof!
With the opening scheduled for mid October and Wave House Sentosa planning to follow up with a huge Halloween party, it’s gonna be the premier spot to go wild.
